Hopefully, you were able to meet the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team when we hosted them during Speed Week this spring.  The team's director, Dr. Nichole (Nicky) Wangsgard, who in her own right is a distinguished and successful pro cyclist, coaches their team, too. 

Frazier Cycling and the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team share similar missions in that both strive to develop athletes in a positive manner.  As a result, we are fostering a relationship and joining forces to promote our missions. 

We experienced the Primal Pro Women dedication to their mission first hand when our junior women attended the Primal Pro Women's cycling clinic for women at the Historic Roswell Criterium.  Furthermore, Nicky the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team invited Zoe and Dominique to join their team as guest riders during Speed Week.  During our time with Nicky and the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team, we grew our appreciation of their dedication, professionalism, patience, and geniality as superb examples, in particular, for our young women.  For these reasons, Frazier Cycling pursued a lasting relationship with the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team.

In continuance of our relationship with Primal Pro Women’s p/b BH Cycling Team, Frazier Cycling is excited to announce that "Coach" Nicky is offering her coaching services to our men and women and those who visit our website. 

Below, we included some of Nicky's cycling career highlights.  We are very impressed with Nicky's credentials, but even more so with her coaching abilities of the Primal Pro Women's p/b BH Cycling Team.  In fact, Nicky is now coaching Zoe in preparation of the Junior Road National Championships and her enrollment at Marian University this coming fall.

Here is a brief resume of Nicky's racing background and accomplishments.

Nicky began seriously mountain bike racing in 1998 and cyclo-cross racing in 2001.  In 2002, she bought her first road bike after she researched that professional mountain bike and cross racers train most often on their road bikes. This road training paid off. 

In 2002, Nicky won the 2002 Collegiate D-II Mountain Biking Championship in Angel Fire, New Mexico. 

In 2003, after juggling road, cross, and mountain bike racing, Nicky decided to dedicate 100% of her training to road racing for the 2004 race season.

In 2004, Nicky was crowned Collegiate D-II road biking collegiate criterium and Omnium road race champion. Nicky was noticed by Nicole Freedman, director and manager of Team Ford-Basis Professional Cycling Team. Freedman asked Nicky to guest ride for Team Ford-Basis for the rest of the 2004 race season.

In 2005, Nicky signed a contract to race for Team Subway which gave her the opportunity to race in her first world cup race in Montreal and international race in El Salvador. On Team Subway, she dedicated most of her race efforts as a domestique working for experienced climbers and sprinters.

In 2006, Nicky raced for a small team, Colnago CPT, as their lead sprinter. She earned several top 5 finishes and her first NRC victory in Manhattan Beach, California when she out sprinted the field to win the Manhattan Beach Grand Prix.

In 2007, Nicky signed for the small team, Vitesse Cycling. This team unfortunately did not survive the season. Nicky resorted to racing most of the 2007 NRC races solo or as a guest rider on composite teams. She learned to surf lead-out trains with her jump, earning several podium finishes in the process. After one of her best results (2nd place Nature Valley Grand Prix Downtown Criterium), Nicky was asked to guest ride for Colavita Sutter Home at Criterium Nationals in Downers Grove, Illinois. She helped Tina Pic win her fifth national jersey. Nicky signed a contract and raced for Colavita Sutter Home for two years.

In 2008, Nicky finished her doctorate degree at the University of Northern Colorado. In cycling, Nicky opened the season with a 5th place finish at the Amgen Tour of California Women's Criterium and went on to win a national racing calendar criterium at the Joe Martin Stage Race and place second in the National Wells Fargo Twilight criterium. 

In 2009, Nicky won overall title at the International Cycling Classic (Superweek) and helped Tina Pic win her sixth national jersey at Criterium Nationals in Downers Grove.  She also won the criterium at the first annual Women’s Tour of Utah.

In 2010, Nicky raced independently. She won her third national calendar race in Alabama, the Sunny King Criterium. She also won the International Cycling Classic (Superweek) for the second time

In 2011, Nicky joined a Primal/MapMyRide Women's professional cycling team. She placed third in two national calendar criteriums. She made history at the International Cycling Classic (Superweek). She is the first female cyclist to ever win this historic race for three consecutive years.

In 2012, Nicky experienced the biggest win of her racing career as she raced again for Primal/MapMyRide women’s professional cycling team. She won Charlotte's Presbyterian Cup Criterium. This race has the biggest purse available in the United States. She beat the best sprinters in the world.
