Our team had a successful race weekend at Tour de Tuscaloosa on Saturday, March 28th, and Sunday, March 29th.  Saturday's races featured a 1.29-mile criterium course in downtown Tuscaloosa with the first race starting at 2 p.m.  Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, the road races were held on a 9.63-mile hilly circuit in Lake Lurleen Park.

Philip O'Donnell, 13, was our "weekend star".  He was the overall winner in the Junior's 10-14 Criterium on Saturday.  About three hours later, he placed third in the Men's Cat 4 Criterium - winning $100.  There were more than 50 in the field at the start. This was the performance of the weekend!  Philip was the youngest competitor in the race.

On Sunday, Philip broke away with his teammate Andrew Macrae, 14, in Sunday's Junior 13/14 Men's 20-mile road race. Our dynamic duo crossed the line about two minutes ahead of the field.  Andrew was first and Philip placed second.
